A real revolution: welcome back wallpaper!

Today I want to tell you about wallpaper, no, not in "grandma's house" style. You don't have to think about repetitive, classic and dusty motifs. Wallpaper is more current than ever. Not only in the usual areas of the house - living room and bedroom - but also in the kitchen and bathroom.

The strong return that is investing interior design, dressing one's home with wallpaper and preferring it to painting, denotes the birth of a completely new concept. It is a real revolution: innovative supports (more resistant and easier to apply), an infinite choice of subjects, patterns and colors. In a nutshell, wallpaper is customizable in every single detail. Can we still talk about accessory? Maybe not, decoration here becomes the protagonist of the environment.
So the combination of identical and repetitive modules is abandoned, leaving room for real works of art. The fundamental evolution in this sense was the birth of digital printing, thanks to which many companies offer the possibility of transforming any photograph into a wall covering.

Wallpaper is also a great ploy to increase the visual depth of the spaces, very useful especially in small and narrow rooms. For example, this is a corridor for a hospitality structure in Verona - 13 meters long and 1.26 meters wide - where the photographer Maurizio Marcato has created a wallpaper with an anamorphic technique, that is, only in a certain position and to a certain height, you can feel the three-dimensionality of a subject (in this case the splendid Arena di Verona).

The wallpaper is not a simple wall application, but at the base there must be a careful study of the proportions, colors and support material, so that it can blend perfectly with the environment in which it is inserted.
